Episode 5' "A UNIQUE Perspective, Part One" is done and up here, and on YouTube!
It was an epic, or at least it felt that way.
We had a day of shooting at the scene shop of the Glendale Centre Theatre, and would have finished all principal photography that day with a final scene at the theatre, itself, which has become The Doctor's office, but Tosca was ill, so we did that scene the next day. Nicole Starrett joined the cast, and did a stellar job. It's so wonderful working with stage actors! Nicole, like Tosca, came in knowing her lines perfectly, and also had a delightful take on her character, The Doctor's liaison with U.N.I.Q.U.E, "Leslie". The shoot in the shop went quickly, although we had to wait for a few minutes when lumber was being delivered, more minutes while helicopters were circling overhead, then a short while as I uploaded files to a SanDisk Wireless Flash Drive when my iPad's memory reached capacity.
I was a bit embarrassed when I realized I had forgotten my tripod. I had other stuff to bring, and it completely slipped my mind. Good thing I have the Luma camera app, which has amazing stabilization. Tosca was our ersatz camera operator, and the stuff she shot handheld looks like it was actually on a tripod.
More later!
